Gowns & Suits 2021
A Grad Photo Event
Did you purchase a fabulous Grad outfit that you won’t get to wear to your Grad Dinner Dance or to celebrate with your friends? Amazing how a Global Pandemic can change plans quickly! We know you spent time and energy finding the perfect outfit and feel how disappointing this is for you. Let us take your Portrait to remember your outfit for years to come. Might we suggest wearing a mask for one of your pictures?
Get dressed up in that gorgeous dress or suit and tie or just come as you are in a favourite outfit to let us capture this momentous time in your life. The sitting fee for this event is only $10 and will be fully donated to The Breakfast Club of Canada program. This will feed breakfast to a child for a week – it is hard to learn if you are hungry. You will be able to purchase your images in printed or digital format.
How do you order prints and image files? A few days after your shoot, we will upload your portraits to a secure online site and send you an email. You can then choose prints, packages, special grad-themed products and copy-released digital files, all at 20% off!
Please preview our grad offerings here…
AND, we know digital files will be popular for this event, so they will be discounted more than 20%:
1 portrait copyright released (you receive digital file): $48
2 portraits: $64
3 portraits: $96
12 portraits: $120
All portraits: $160
Details and FAQ for the Gowns and Suits Grad Photo Event
Do I have to make an appointment or can I just show up? As there are limited amount sessions available you must book an appointment.
How long is my session? Your session is 15 minutes which allows our professional photographers ample time to photograph you in various poses. (Be prepared to listen to instructions and smile! Please arrive 15 minutes early to find parking and walk a few minutes to your location. Better yet, have someone drop you off.
Where will this event take place? The photos will take place outdoors on the PoCo Dyke Trail along the beautiful Pitt River. We will meet at the end of Dominion Ave (a short drive from Photo Expressions) in Port Coquitlam. There are some gorgeous scenic, rustic and grungy spots near the entrance to the trail here. There is parking at the end of the street and along the roadways. Note: there are no public bathrooms at this location. All social distancing protocols will be followed between you and the photographer. Please be respectful of the 6 foot distance between the public using the trails.
How much does this cost? To make this affordable for everyone at this time, your 15 minute portrait session is $10 with 100% of the sitting fee being donated to The Breakfast Club of Canada to help feed hungry children. After your session, you can order any portraits or digital files that you would like at regular studio pricing by individual sheets, packages or digital files all of which are very affordable. For example an 8×10 is only $28 and the price goes down from there as you order more.
What happens if the weather is not great? This event will happen sun or clouds (which is actually the best lighting). If it is raining we will move your session to a back-up date at the same time.
Can I bring a friend? To allow more than a few grads to participate in this event, the sittings are only 15 minutes apart. Your sitting is just for you. If your friend is part of your small bubble, and would like pictures, they can book a back to back appointment with you, and then at the end of your appointment/beginning of their appointment, we can do some portraits together.
Can I bring my family? Your family can jump in for a quick few photos with you at the end of your appointment. Please note that all social distancing protocols will need to be followed with the public who walk on the trail areas and the photographer. The main focus of the portraits is you. (You are always welcome to book a more in depth grad portrait sitting of 30min – 60 minutes at another time if there are lots of photos that you would like.)
Can I take my own photos? Our photographer needs the full 15 minutes to capture this special moment in your life so we ask that no photos are taken during your session. You are more than welcome to take more photos once your session is done (out of the way of the next grad).
How will I see my pictures? Your photos will be sent to you to view and order online. If you decide to order pictures, your order will be shipped to you for free or you can pick it up at Photo Expressions using our curbside pickup or safe in store shopping. Your portraits will be printed in our in house professional photo lab by our expert image specialists. Each image will be corrected as needed to give you beautiful images that will last for generations.
